GIF: Instagram - how to post a GIF in your Story

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms out there right now. But posting GIFs is banned on Instagram, as there have been cases of racist GIFs being posted on Instagram in the past. However, posting GIFs should soon be possible again.

How is a GIF posted on Instagram?

A GIF can only be attached to another photo or video on Instagram.

1. Select a photo or video you want to post on Instagram and tap your finger on the sticker button located at the top center of the screen.
2. Now continue tapping "Embellish Photo or Video" and select "GIF."
3. Now you have the option to search for a GIF. To do this, simply enter a search term in the appropriate field and you will be displayed suitable GIFs.
4. You can also search for various GIFs from the Internet and use them. To do this, simply go to the appropriate website, for example, Giphy, and tap there on the "Instagram share" button.
