Protecting WhatsApp with a password - how to do it
To ensure that only you have access to the messages in your WhatsApp chats, it is recommended to protect the app with a password. But WhatsApp itself does not have such a feature yet. We will show you how password protection is still possible in this article.
How to protect WhatsApp on Android with a password
To protect your WhatsApp messages from unauthorized access, it makes sense to set a password for the app. However, WhatsApp does not yet have a built-in feature to secure the app with a password. Therefore, your only option is to install an additional app on your Android device to set a password for WhatsApp.- Free of charge, this is possible with the app "Protect Messenger" from Bunny Labs, which you can download from the Google Play Store.
- Once you have installed the app, please open it, give the app the necessary permissions and set a four-digit PIN number.
- Followed by this, you still have the option on the app's home screen to select other apps, such as Skype or Gmail, which should be protected by the PIN.
- To prevent the PIN entry from being bypassed by uninstalling the "Messenger-protect" app, you should set a security question in the app settings to block the deletion.
