How to change your hard drive in Windows 10

When you change your hard drive in Windows 10, you usually have more storage space, more speed, but also a virtually error-free storage medium. In doing so, you can transfer your data to the new hard drive quite conveniently and thus make a simple and quick move.

1. For this purpose, various cloning programs are recommended, whereby the "AOMEI Partition Assistant" is particularly well suited for a hard drive change, as your data can be completely transferred here.
2. Download the program and install it according to the instructions in the installation process.
3. Now open the program.
4. Now you will be shown all existing partitions and you can now click on "Migrate OS to SSD/HDD".
5. In the window that appears now press "Next".
6. Wählen Sie anschließend eine Partition oder einen nicht zugeordneten Speicherplatz auf der Zielfestplatte aus.
7. Bestätigen Sie die Auswahl mit „Weiter“.
8. Im neuen Pop-Up-Fenster werden Ihnen nun alle wichtigen Informationen angezeigt, die Sie auch bearbeiten können.
9. Ist dies erfolgt, klicken Sie auf „Weiter“.
10. Der anschließende Text kann mit „Fertig“ bestätigt werden.
11. Damit Ihre Änderungen auch gespeichert werden, klicken Sie auf den Button „Ausführen“, womit Sie „Ausstehende Operationen“ bestätigen.
12. Nun beginnt der Wechsel Ihrer Festplatte unter Windows 10 und Sie behalten all Ihre Daten ohne Verlust.
