Windows 10: Set privacy - these options are available

Since Windows 10 communicates with the Internet more than its predecessors, privacy is an important issue. Fortunately, Microsoft gives you a whole host of settings options so you can customize privacy.

Windows 10 gives you more privacy options than ever before.

Windows 10: Privacy options are easy to find

To see and change privacy options, follow these steps:
  1. Press the "Win" + "I" key combination to open Windows Settings.
  2. Click on the "Privacy" category.
  3. You will then find yourself in the "Change privacy options" section.
  4. There are several options available to you. Here you can, for example, prohibit the use of your advertising ID or websites from accessing your voice list.
  5. You can also prohibit the tracking of app launches or display suggested content in the Settings app.
  6. If you do not want to allow permission for these and other items, simply deactivate the slider at the respective entry so that it is set to "Off".
After the options, you will find additional links that you can use to find out how the settings affect the protection of your data. In addition, you can find even more ways to manage your data via the "Privacy Dashboard" button. This is especially worthwhile if you use the Microsoft Edge browser or the Bing search engine. Many important aspects of data protection are thus covered and you can enjoy Windows 10 worry-free.
