Google Chrome: Install apps - how to do it

Chrome has the claim to become the most used browser in the world. One of the ways it aims to achieve this is with a huge selection of apps, most of which are free. We show you how to install and remove apps in Chrome.

How to find and manage your Chrome apps

If your Favorites bar is enabled, the first entry there by default is the link to Chrome apps. Otherwise, simply enter "chrome://apps/" in the address bar of Chrome - this is the address where your apps can be found.You will now get an overview of all installed apps, for example Google Drive. You have the following options:

• If you want to remove an app, make a right click on the app and select "Remove from Chrome".
• To obtain more apps, follow the icon to the Chrome Web Store, which is also displayed in the app overview.

How to install apps for Chrome

In the Web Store you can see how large the selection is. Beliebte und bekannte Apps sind zum Beispiel:

Damit wird klar: Für praktisch jedes Thema und Einsatzgebiet gibt es passende Chrome-Apps. Die Installation ist denkbar einfach, denn Sie müssen lediglich auf die App im Store klicken und dann oben rechts auf den blauen Button „+ Add to Chrome“ klicken. Handelt es sich bei der App um eine kostenpflichtige App, klicken Sie stattdessen auf „Kaufen“.
