LS 19: Feeding horses - how to take care of the animals

Horses are one of the new features in Farming Simulator 19 and are therefore particularly interesting. Our guide explains what you should know about horses and how to feed the hoofed animals.

To feed your horses, both hay and oats come into consideration.

Horses do not provide a yield, but can be ridden out for it. This alone is why the animals are so popular.

LS 19: How to feed your horses

Two types of grain can be used to feed horses:

• You can get hay by cutting grass and letting it dry (this is done by tedder). Grass does not need to be grown separately, as it grows on its own in many places. You can give hay loose or in bales.
• Oats are a new addition to the LS 19 and the primary purpose is to be used as horse feed.

In addition to feeding, keep in mind that horses want to be ridden out daily as it increases their fitness. Also important: the health, which you keep by straw, sufficient water and feed in the green range, as well as cleaning and currying.
