MILES: Overview of the carsharing service's prices

In order to penetrate an existing market, new approaches are sometimes necessary. That's the case with MILES, the car-sharing provider that doesn't focus on the duration of the booking.

Kilometers instead of minutes: MILES chooses a different approach than the competition.

Whether SHARE NOW, SIXT share, WeShare or Flinkster: Normally, carsharing is billed by time. MILES, on the other hand, relies on the kilometers driven.

MILES: Prices depend on distance

For most drivers, the prime rate is decisive. For passenger cars, it looks like this:
  • You pay 89 cents per kilometer.
  • The duration of the trip does not matter.
  • In addition, there is a flat fee of 1 euro per booking.
  • If you park the car in the meantime, the time counts: the parking minute costs 29 cents.
For the transport rental, the following basic rate applies:
  • Per kilometer is charged 1.19 euros.
  • The rest of the conditions are the same.
With the kilometer-based approach MILES pays off especially in dense big city traffic, since you are there largely at traffic lights or in traffic jams. Since the billing is not based on per-minute prices, the ride is not unnecessarily expensive even in after-work traffic. In addition, there are hourly rates that are worthwhile if you need the car for a long time.
