Junk files are content that is on your computer but is no longer needed. They can be duplicated and downloaded documents or content that you have not used for a long time. The files are also called junk, because they consume disk space unnecessarily, but have no use anymore. With the appropriate programs, you have the opportunity to find this content on the system and remove it from your computer.

1. Download a suitable program such as CCleaner from a website of your choice and install it.
2. Start the program once the process is complete. Now you have the option to create a backup of your data again.
3. Then click on the "Analyze" button. The program will now search your system for junk files.
4. Once the process has been performed, you will be shown all the files found. Here you can again select which contents you want to keep and which not.
5. Once you have made your selection, click on the "Start CCleaner" button. All junk files will be deleted.
