iPhone XS (Max) power off - how to do it

Since the iPhone XS Max no longer has a Home button compared to older iPhone models, the procedure for turning off the device differs. To turn off your iPhone XS Max, you have several ways.
  1. If you still want to turn off your Apple smartphone using a shortcut, please press the power button and the volume down button on the iPhone XS Max until the power off slider appears on the screen. Then move it to the right to shut down the device.
  2. Alternatively, the iPhone XS Max can also be turned off via the settings of the device. To do this, navigate to "Settings" > "General" > "Shutdown" and swipe the slider located there to the right.
  3. If you have activated the Assistive Touch function on your iPhone, you can also turn off the smartphone by holding down the Assistive Touch button until the slider appears.

If your iPhone XS Max cannot be turned off using any of the methods described above because the device is no longer responsive, you can also force it to turn off. To do so, first press the device's Volume Up button briefly and then press the Volume Down button briefly. Then press and hold the Power button until the iPhone XS Max restarts.
