• By equipping Agitator, your affinity and attack power increase when the monster is angry.
• The skill has up to seven levels in total, with only five levels possible without the set bonus of Brachydios.
• Equip Agitator via armor pieces and decorations (slot level 2).

Then the explanation for why Agitator is so popular in Iceborne:

• By using the clamp claw, the monster becomes aggressive.
• Whoever makes full use of the claw, thus keeps the monster almost continuously in angry mode.

This makes the agitator bonus a constant; since it brings a full +20 attack power and 10 percent more affinity at level 5, its importance for offensive sets is self-explanatory.
