How to recover deleted data from WD My Cloud

With My Cloud from WD, you can buy a NAS with varying capacities. You can also recover data that you accidentally deleted from your server. However, the files can only be recovered if you enabled the recycle bin when you deleted them. You will then find the deleted contents in the respective recycle bin of the various folders.

1. "RecycleBin - Volume_" is the name of the network folder, with the number of the respective drive at the end.
2. If you want to access the deleted files, this is done by mounting the folder as a network drive.
3. To mount the folder as a drive, you must first open File Explorer and then go to "This PC". Danach wählen Sie unter „Computer“ die Option „Netzlaufwerk verbinden“ aus.
4. Danach geben Sie zwei Backslash-Zeichen und die IP-Adresse Ihrer WD My Cloud ein und klicken auf „Durchsuchen“.
5. Wählen Sie den Recycle Bin aus und klicken Sie schließlich auf „Verbinden“.
6. Nun können Sie die gelöschten Daten einsehen.
