Tips for using Congstar abroad

If you are a Congstar customer and want to use your Congstar contract abroad, there are a few things to consider. Above all, your destination country plays an important role. Above all, it depends on the respective zone how easy it is to use a rate abroad.

Congstar abroad: data usage in the EU

Customers who want to use a Congstar tariff in other European countries benefit from the EU directive. According to this, additional roaming charges have been waived within the EU since mid-2017. This means that during a temporary stay within the EU, you can simply take your Congstar services with you and use them there. This applies to SMS and inclusive minutes as well as the mobile data volume.In some cases, however, additional costs may be incurred. This applies in particular to countries that are not members of the EU and some special in-network flat options and community components (example: Congstar Freunde Flat rate).

Calculate additional costs with Congstar abroad

If you have exceeded your quota or are outside the EU, you can determine the costs incurred with the Congstar roaming calculator.

1. Log in to your Congstar account and click on "My tariff".
2. Now select the tariff you are using and enter the source and destination country.
3. Indicate any additional tariff options you have booked and click on "Show tariff".
4. You will now receive a list of all roaming costs that may be incurred for your tariff. If you only have a limited data volume available, for example, it is worth using an app to monitor your data consumption. For example, you can use the app "My Data Manager" for this.
