Connecting a WLAN printer - how to do it
You can connect a WLAN printer to your router and then set it up so that you can access it from all devices on the network. You can learn how to properly connect your WLAN printer to your router and set it up in Windows here.
How to connect a WLAN printer to the router
If you have a WLAN-enabled printer, you can use it to send print jobs from the computer to the printer via the WLAN network and without a cable connection. For this to work, however, it is first necessary to connect the WLAN printer to the router. To do this, either connect the printer to the router via USB cable or use WPS for the connection. If you decide to use the latter method, please turn on the printer first and press the WPS button on your router so that the devices can connect to each other.Connecting a WLAN printer: How to share the device on the network
Once you have successfully connected the printer, you can proceed to set it up on your computer while sharing it with other devices on the Wi-Fi network.- To do this, first open the "Control Panel" on your Windows PC and navigate to "Hardware and Sound" > "Devices and Printers".
- Then click the "Add Printer" button at the top of the window and select that you want to "Add a network printer". The computer will now automatically search for available printers.
- If your printer is found, please click on it, confirm with "Next" and assign a name for the device.
- Once you click "Finish", the setup is complete and the printer can be used by all devices, as long as they are on the same WLAN network.
