Valheim: How to Grow Carrots - Tips and Tricks

You'll soon find carrot seeds on your excursions through the forests of Valheim. Our guide explains what you should consider for growing them, as there's an important distinction to be made.

Not just for rabbits: Carrots are good buff food in Valheim.

You can usually find carrot seeds much earlier than you can sow them, as you need the plow for this. If this is available, you have two options.

Valheim: Grow carrots and seeds separately

You will see these when you equip the plow and open the menu with the right mouse button:

• By sowing the carrot seeds, you will harvest carrots later. Here you get three carrots per seed.
• Alternatively or additionally, you can also plant seed carrots. These have the purpose of giving you more carrot seeds. From a seed carrot you get three carrot seeds.

For a sustainable supply of carrots, it is thus important not to neglect the seed breeding. In fact, with this you create a cycle, thanks to which you no longer have to go in search of the forest.
