Valheim: How to grow plants and trees from seeds

From small plants to tall trees, farmers also get to get down to business in Valheim. Our guide explains how to plant seeds and what conditions are necessary.

With the help of seeds you can grow crops and whole trees.

The prerequisite for planting in Valheim is a prepared soil. This you create with the help of a plow (5 bronze, 5 heartwood).

With the plow you then simply work the soil, which changes visually.

• Followed by change the mode of the plow: Here you can select which seeds from your inventory you want to sow.
• Be careful not to place the seeds too close together. The distances depend on the plant: so carrots logically require less space than trees such as beeches.
• If everything is placed correctly, you can observe the growth progress over several days before it goes to the harvest.

The seeds you find in the wild are thus an important foundation for the success of your base later. It's worth collecting and stashing the seeds early on, so you can get started right away in a big way once you have access to bronze and thus the plow.
