Windows 10: Fall Update Problems

An update always stands for improvements and problem solving of the system. However, the Fall Update for Windows 10 is causing massive problems for many users. Thus, bluescreens and reboot loops suddenly appear. How do you best fix the problem now?

Fix update problems

To fix the update problem, you need to delete the update.
  1. Start your PC in Safe Mode and from there go to "PC Settings".
  2. Then select "Update and Security" and then "Recovery".
  3. Now you will see the "Troubleshoot" item. Click this and select "Command Prompt" under "Advanced Options".
  4. Now enter the following: "reg delete" and then "reg unload".
  5. Finally, call the list of installed packages in the command prompt.
  6. Now you can remove the installed update package with the command "MKDIR C:\temp\packages" and "dism/image:c\ /remove-package/packagename:PAKETNAME". Note here that you enter the name of the package for "PAKETNAME".
  7. To finish, restart your PC.

Disable automatic updates

To avoid facing various problems again next time, it may be worth disabling automatic updates. This way, your PC will not automatically download the latest updates. Accordingly, you can install the updates manually as soon as experience reports from other users give the green light.
