Android phone memory full: what you can do
If after some time the memory of your Android phone is full, first analyze what the problem is. Even if your phone doesn't offer a slot for an external memory card, there are some useful ways to free up internal memory anyway and use external storage options.
Android phone memory full? That's the reason
Since the Android operating system in particular requires a lot of memory, the cell phone memory is quickly full. You can view this under "Settings" > "Memory" > "Device".- Save therefore all additional files such as pictures, videos or music on an external memory card. If no additional memory can be built into your phone, store these files in a cloud storage such as Dropbox.
- On Android smartphones are installed by default from the factory some apps that you do not need. Call up the app menu in the settings and delete them.
- This also allows you to remove applications that you have not used for some time or no longer need.
How to keep the operating system clean
Similar to a computer, you should also regularly clear the cache of the phone.- To do this, click on "Settings" > "Apps" > "Memory" > "Clear cache".
- If you often download PDFs, images or other files from the Internet, remember to empty the download folder regularly.
- If you use apps such as WhatsApp, for example, with which you send large quantities of images and voice or video messages, delete older files that you no longer need from time to time. Alternatively, move important files to the memory card or to the cloud.
