Play Fortnite as a couple: This is how easy it is!

You can play the popular video game Fortnite as a couple. On the Xbox and PS4, you can play locally on the split screen. On the other platforms, you play together with a friend as a team on two computers or consoles instead.

How to play Fortnite in pairs

Fortnite can be played together with one or more players in so-called crossplay. To do this, each player needs their own device to access the game. If you are playing on a Playstation or Xbox, you can also play the game in split screen, i.e. on one device, with two players.

Create a team and play in pairs

Crossplay allows players from different platforms to play together. They can combine computers, consoles and mobile devices. Only the combination of Xbox Switch and Playstation is not possible. To play together with another player, both players need an account with Epic, which must be linked to the Fortnite account.

1. Create an account with Epic Games.
2. Start the game and log in with your credentials from Epic Games.
3. Go to the lobby.
4. Show the list of your friends on the right.
5. You can now put one or two friends together to form a team: Klicken Sie dazu auf das Pluszeichen.

Wollen Sie hingegen lokal zu zweit Fortnite im Splitscreen spielen, verbinden Sie zunächst einen zweiten Controller mit der Konsole. Daraufhin meldet sich der zweite Spieler mit seinem Epic Konto an und kann anschließend in der Fortnite-Lobby beitreten.
