Fortnite: Save the world free to play - from when?

Fortnite has become one of the most successful games in the world with its Battle Royale mode. As a result, the PVE mode is taking a back seat, but that could soon change when "Save the World" becomes free.

"Save the World" has already been available in Early Access since 2017, but only as part of the paid Founder's Package, which costs 39.99 euros. In the future, however, this is to change:

• Epic Games has already announced in 2018 that also "Save the World" will soon be converted to free-to-play, namely when the final version is released.
• This should still happen in 2019, but an exact date is not known.
• In the course of the conversion, the PVE mode is to be expanded and improved.
• As a result, the variant should attract droves of new players; free access was, after all, already the prerequisite for the global success of Battle Royale.
