Diablo 2 Resurrected: Crossplay and Cross-Progression?

The announcement of the Diablo 2 remake was already a highlight. The fact that the game will be released for multiple platforms caused even more joy. We therefore clarify how it looks with crossplay and cross-progression.

Outcome open: The issue of cross-play will continue to preoccupy players after the release.

Diablo 2 is designed to bring the charm of the original in a modern guise. Both veterans and newcomers should find it pleasing - and that makes crossplay all the more interesting.

Diablo 2 Resurrected: So it looks with crossplay and cross-progression

Already in the course of the official announcement it was confirmed that cross-progression will be available.
  • This means that you can continue to play your characters or game saves when switching to another platform.
  • And it looks different on the subject of crossplay: Here, Blizzard has let it be known that the feature is not ruled out, but will by no means be available at the game's release.
Since Diablo 2 Resurrected will be released for both generations of PlayStation and Xbox, as well as PC and Nintendo Switch, crossplay should be particularly interesting, as it could link many players together. At launch, however, Diablo fans will have to make do with their platforms; given the game's popularity, there should be plenty of takers there as well.
