Garmin: Navi voices download - so it works

Garmin is one of the big companies for navigation devices. Not only normal GPS devices can be purchased from the company, but also fitness trackers, watches and camping guides. Here, you don't necessarily have to use the standard voice that guides your way, you can download custom voices as well.

Where can you download Garmin voices?

You have the option to use different voices in your Garmin device. Garmin itself offers some of them for download. In addition, the manufacturer offers its own studio software, with which you can use your own or a friend's voice.

1. Download the software and install it on your PC.
2. Give the voice a name and select the appropriate language.
3. Now you can re-record all the sentences and thus give your Navi a personal touch.
4. Have you recorded all the sentences, now transfer them to the device. To do this, connect the device to the PC on which the software is currently open and press "Done" in the program.
5. You can now select the appropriate device from the drop-down list and press "Send". Die Stimme wird jetzt an das Gerät übermittelt.
6. Sie müssen die Stimme jetzt nur noch im Menü auf dem Gerät unter „Spracheinstellungen“ auswählen und schon haben Sie eine selbst aufgenommene Stimme im Navi.
