LastPass: Free vs. Premium - these are the differences

With LastPass you have the possibility to assign a complicated password to all your online accounts without having to remember them. The master password gives you access to LastPass and therefore to your online accounts. There are two models you can choose between: The Free and the Premium version.

LastPass is a password management software. With it, you can set more difficult passwords on all online services. So that you don't have to remember all the passwords, use LastPass.

1. If you use the free version of the software, you can install it in your browser. You will then be presented with a menu with a form field. If you go to a page to log in, all you have to do is enter your master password in the form field. LastPass then enters the previously saved password on the page and you can log in.
2. Alternatively, you can also get the free version as an app for your mobile devices.
3. If you have the premium version of the software, you can share your passwords with other users. This is especially useful for the WLAN password.
4. In addition, you can also save passwords for applications and programs with the paid version.
5. You are also provided with a 1 GB online storage. Here you can store your files encrypted.
6. The premium version costs about 2.60 euros per month.
