Create or change Google Pay Pin: How to do it

In your Google account, you can create and change a Google Pay Pin. With the Pin you secure payments via Google Play. The pin is also a prerequisite for sending money to other users via Google Pay.

Get a new Google Pin or change an existing Pin

A Pin is required in several cases if you want to use all the features of your Google Account. You need the pin to send money via Google Pay, to set up a Roku box, and when you shop on Google Play via DayDream. Also, asking for a pin can be set as an additional security measure to protect purchases on Google Play from unauthorized access.

How to generate a Google Pin

1. Open your Google account on a PC or mobile device.
2. Log in with your credentials.
3. Click "Pin".
4. Select "Create Pin."
5. Enter a pin. It must not be your date of birth and you must not use a series of numbers.
6. Select "Save".

Change your Google Pin

1. Go to your Google Account.
2. Select "Security".
3. Tap "Sign in to Google".
