Chrome master password - does it exist?

When you use Google Smart Lock in Chrome, all your passwords are automatically saved and entered the next time you log in. However, to view the passwords as plain text, you need to enter another password, called the master password.

What to do to set a master password in Chrome?

When Google just offered the possibility to save passwords in the browser, you would have been able to view all saved passwords without entering another password. Since 2013, you have to enter the password of the Windows computer or Mac running Chrome. View passwords in Chrome

To view your saved passwords, proceed as follows:

1. Open Google Chrome. Now click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner and then click on "Settings".
2. Click on "AutoFill" on the left and then click on "Passwords".
