Play invisibly on Steam: Thanks to this setting, it works

Thanks to Steam, it's common to start a game together with friends in seconds. However, sometimes this is not desired at all and those who want to have their peace occasionally can simply stay invisible.

The "Invisible" feature has not existed in Steam for too long, but was introduced because many players requested it.

Steam: Play invisibly at any time

Proceed as follows:

1. Click on "Friends" at the top of the Steam client.
2. There you will see your online status. Simply set this to "Invisible".

Your Steam contacts will now no longer see that you are online. In addition, your friends also no longer see when you start a game - you are completely invisible to the outside world. However, caution is advised in multiplayer games, as it is theoretically possible to run into each other in the game world. In this case, even the Steam setting does not change the fact that you can be seen.
