A podcast is an audio contribution that can be subscribed to via a feed. A wide variety of topics can be covered. Some podcasts tell about history or technology, but management and science can also be a topic. Once you have created your own podcast, you can easily publish it.

How to publish your podcast

The name podcast is made up of the words "i(Pod)" and "Broad(cast)" and does not generally have to consist only of an audio recording, but can also include video elements. Podcasts can then be listened to through a variety of devices. There is not much to consider when recording and publishing a podcast.

1. When recording a podcast, make sure you have a good quality microphone. Usually there are passable microphones already for about 30 to 50 euros.
2. Also the right recording software is important. On the Internet you will find various programs, most of which are even free.
3. Use best also a musical background for the intro and the outro. So your podcast is more easily recognized.
4. Generally, there are different ways to host the podcast. Either you lease your own web server or you use one of the many platforms.
5. Here the hosting differs from site to site. However, in most cases you will be guided through the upload process step by step.

Familiar sites include, www.Podcasters.de, www.Anchor.fm, www.podhost.de and www.soundcloud.de. Once you have built up a fanbase, you can also switch to self-hosting.
