Huawei P30: How to change PIN

There are two different PIN numbers on your Huawei P30 that you can change: the SIM PIN and the screen unlock code. However, both can only be edited if you still know the current combination.

Instructions: How to change the SIM PIN on the Huawei P30

Your SIM card is locked with a PIN number. When you restart your smartphone, you need to enter the PIN so that you can use mobile services such as telephony and mobile Internet through your mobile operator. If you want to change this PIN number on your Huawei P30, then you will find a corresponding menu for it.

1. Go to the settings on your Huawei P30.
2. Here you now open the menu "Security & Privacy".
3. Navigate further to "Additional settings > Encryption and credentials".
4. Tap then on "Set up SIM lock".
5. If you are using a Huawei P30 Pro with dual SIM, you can select at the top whether you want to change the PIN for SIM 1 or SIM 2.
6. Tap then on "Change PIN".
