Here's an overview of the differences between the two titles:- Weapons: In Dauntless there are (currently) six weapons, in Monster Hunter World there are 14.
- Game world: The adventure in Dauntless takes you to a total of five islands, which are divided by level. There are five areas in Monster Hunter World, all of which you will also visit regularly in the later gameplay.
- Cost: Dauntless is completely free as a free-to-play game. Monster Hunter World is a full-price game.
- Battles: In Dauntless, everything revolves around epic battles against Behemoths. These battles are strongly reminiscent of raid bosses, as they are known from MMORPGs. Monster Hunter World, on the other hand, has a wide range of small, large and particularly powerful bosses, almost all of which can also be defeated alone.
- Updates: Dauntless is to be continuously expanded to create variety. This also happens in Monster Hunter World, and a full-fledged expansion has also already been announced.
- Multiplayer: In Dauntless, crossplay between all platforms is possible, while in Monster Hunter World you only play with fellow players from the same platform.
