Connect Surface Pro 6 to monitor - how to stream
The Surface Pro 6 offers the function to use another monitor to use as a screen. Since the Surface Pro 6 has Windows 10 installed as its operating system, you do this just as you would on a PC. Ideally, the monitor will have Wi-Fi.
How to connect the Surface Pro 6 to a monitor?
You have several options for connecting the Surface Pro 6 to a monitor. You can use an HDMI cable or connect via Wi-Fi.- You will need a cable that goes from Mini Display Port to HDMI or Display Port, depending on what your TV supports.
- Connect the Mini Display Port end to the Surface Pro and the other end to the TV.
- The Surface Pro should now fully automatically detect the new display. Go into Settings by pressing the Windows icon in the bottom left and then continue to the gear. Go to "System" and select "Display" in the bar on the left.
- Here you can now make all the display settings.
- If the monitor has WLAN, you can also add it as a wireless display. To do this, also go to the settings and then continue to "Devices".
- Here you click on "Add device" and select "Wireless display". Attention: The device must support Miracast.
