Printing double-sided without duplex - is it possible?

To save toner and paper, double-sided printing is a good alternative, and at the same time the amount of pages is reduced. You may think that you can't take advantage of this convenient solution because your printer doesn't have a duplex function. However, there is a trick for this.

How printing without duplex works

Surely, it is easiest if your printer has a duplex function. However, there is a way to help you print double-sided without duplex.
  1. Select the document you want in Word and click the "File" option.
  2. Now you need to specify that you want to print the file. Click on the item "Print all pages".
  3. You will now see a drop-down menu where you can click "Print odd pages only".
  4. Give the command that your printer will print all odd pages. Make sure that "one-sided printing" is further set.
  5. Place the printed documents back into the printer - but this time the wrong way round, so that the reverse side is printed.
  6. Now go to "Print" again and set that only the even pages are printed and confirm this selection.

Save money

By using this trick, you not only save toner and paper, but you can also rely on a cheap model. After all, printers equipped with duplex are often more expensive than models that are not equipped with this feature.
