Ubuntu: How to change the keyboard language
If you are currently using the English keyboard on your Ubuntu PC and would like to change it to German, this is possible via the Ubuntu console. First, open it by pressing the key combination of "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "T" on your keyboard. Then enter the command "sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration" in the console and confirm it with the "Enter" key. In addition to being able to change the language of the keyboard, you can also change the language of the entire operating system. To make this change, please first click on "Language Support" in the Start menu.- If you see the message "The language support is not installed completely", confirm it before going to "Language" > "Install/Remove Languages..." and checking "German".
- Then click on "Apply" to download the language pack and switch to the "Regional Formats" tab to select "German (Deutschland)" from the drop-down menu. Confirm the change with "Apply System-Wide".
