Delete Xing account - how to do it

You can use Xing to make contacts for your professional career. However, if you no longer need your profile, then you can delete it. While this used to be done only in a roundabout way, there is now a special function that lets you complete the process.

Xing: Terminate Basic Membership

If you have a free account with Xing, you can delete the profile directly from your account. Note that after deleting your profile, all entries, contacts and personal messages will be lost and you will not be able to recover them. Only the sent messages in the inboxes of other users will remain.

1. Go to Xing via a browser of your choice and log in with your login data.
2. Click on your profile picture or the shadow picture in the top right of the bar, if you have not yet uploaded a picture.
3. Then select the option "Settings" in the menu that appears and then the item "User account".
4. Clicking on "Delete profile" logs you off the platform for good.

Cancellation of Premium Membership

First of all, note that as a Xing Premium member you have concluded a paid contract for a certain period of time. Therefore, plan a cancellation period of at least three weeks before the end of the membership.

1. Before you terminate your Premium membership, you must first cancel the additional packages ProJobs and ProBusiness.
2. Then cancel your Premium subscription. However, this will continue to run until the end of the term. Therefore, plan a notice period.
3. To delete your entire profile, you must now also terminate your basic membership according to the pattern shown above.
