Huawei P30 Lite: Transfer data - this is how it works

There are several ways to transfer data from an old smartphone to your new Huawei P30 Lite. If your old model is also an Android or Huawei device, data transfer is possible in a few steps via app.

How to use Phone Clone to transfer data to the Huawei P30 Lite

Have you bought a Huawei P30 Lite and want to transfer the data from your old smartphone to the new device, this is possible via app. If your old smartphone is also an Android model, please download the "Phone Clone" app or activate it under "Settings" > "System".

1. First take your old smartphone to hand, open the Phone CloneApp on it and tap on "This is the old phone".
2. Now open the app on the Huawei P30 Lite and tap there on the option "This is the new phone".
3. On the old phone then appears a QR code, which you please scan with the Huawei smartphone.
4. Then select on the Huawei P30 Lite from the list displayed, which data you want to transfer and start the process.

Transfer data from a backup to the Huawei P30 Lite

If you already had a Huawei smartphone before and used the "Data Backup" app to create a backup, you can also transfer your files from it to the Huawei P30 Lite. To do this, connect the smartphone to the USB storage device on which the backup is stored and select the files under "Backup" > "Restore" > "Restore from external USB storage" > "Next".
