1. The Apple Pencil has a pressure-sensitive tip. This detects exactly how firmly you place the pencil on the iPad. With this feature, it is possible to draw or hatch darker and lighter lines respectively.

4. A swipe gesture from the edge of the iPad, however, is not supported by the pencil.
