Sometimes you may encounter problems when trying to update or restore your iPhone X using iTunes. If you see the error code 4005, it means that an unknown error occurred and the iPhone could not be updated.- To fix the error message, please install the latest iTunes version on your PC or Mac and force restart your iPhone X.
- To do this, first briefly press the "Volume Up Button" and then the "Volume Down Button". Then press and hold the upper button until the Apple logo appears on the screen and the device reboots.
- Now connect the iPhone X via USB cable to your computer and click "Update" in iTunes to reinstall iOS on the device.
