Android: Change font size - how to adjust it

If the font size you use on your Android device is too big or too small, you can easily change it. We explain in our guide how to adjust the font size via the settings and how to additionally change the display size.

Most smartphone models allow you to change the font size used. If your smartphone is an Android device, the way to do this is through the settings. If you have a device with Android 9.0 Pie, with Android 8.0 Oreo or Android 7.0 Nougat, please proceed as follows:
  1. Swipe from top to bottom twice on the home screen to open the quick settings of the device.
  2. Tap the "gear icon" there to enter the settings and navigate to the "Display" section.
  3. If you have a device with Android 8, please tap the "Advanced" option at this point before tapping "Font Size".
  4. Here you will now be shown a sample text and you can set the font size using the sliders to "Small", "Standard", "Large" or "Largest".

In addition to the font size, it is also possible to change the display size on devices with Android as operating system.
