Windows 10: How to get the old volume slider back

With Windows 10 came many new features and changes. Since the operating system was also designed to be used via a touchpad, smaller functions, such as the volume control, have also been changed. However, if you want the previous view back, that is also possible.

How to get the old volume control back in Windows 10

In Windows 10, many features have been changed. The design of the controls, such as the volume slider, has also been adjusted. However, if you want the old volume control back, this is possible with a few steps.
  1. First open the Windows search with the key combination "Windows key" + "R".
  2. Then enter "regedit" and press the Enter key.
  3. Follow the path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\" on the left side.
  4. Then right-click on the folder "CurrentVersion".
  5. In the drop-down menu, select the option "New" and then "Key".
  6. Now you need to name the key.
