Apex Legends won't start - this is the cause

Apex Legends is the new Battle Royale game from publisher Electronic Arts (EA). It may happen that the game does not start properly. If that's the case for you, it's usually because your PC doesn't meet the system requirements or you don't have the latest graphics card driver installed.

Why won't Apex Legends start?

If Apex Legends doesn't start correctly or not at all, this can have several causes.

1. Check if your PC meets the necessary system requirements. If it does not, it is clear that Apex Legends cannot start for this reason. It is best to buy the necessary components.
2. It is also possible that the game is being updated. You will see how far the update has progressed in the bottom left corner of the Origin Launcher. Once the update is completely downloaded and installed, you can start the game as usual.
3. Also check the game files for errors. To do this, go to the small gear icon in the Origin Launcher and select "Repair".
4. It may also be that the game needs to be updated. Again, go to the gear icon and select "Update Game."
5. Your graphics card may also be out of date or too new. Try a rollback and reset your graphics card to an older driver version. To do this, go to the Device Manager and right-click on your graphics card. Select "Properties" and then the "Drivers" tab. Here you click on "previous version".
