Setting up iCloud on iPhone - use the storage

Apple has created its own storage space with iCloud, which allows users to secure their own files at any time. We show you here how to securely set up the practical storage option on your iPhone.

iPhone: How to set up iCloud

By using iCloud, you can not only store your files safely, but also have a way to lighten the load on your iPhone at the same time.
  1. Go to the settings of your iPhone or iPad by clicking on the gear icon and log in to your device.
  2. In order to set up iCloud, you now need to enter your Apple ID. If you have forgotten this, you can create a new ID or retrieve your data.
  3. After you have logged in, you can access the iCloud area and have the option to activate the storage location.
  4. Click on the iCloud and it opens an overview of the apps that have access to the iCloud.
  5. Now set for which apps the iCloud should be activated. Consider thereby, which files you always want to have backed up.
  6. If you use multiple iOS devices, then the iCloud is particularly useful, because so an automatic synchronization is made.

A useful feature of iCloud

The iCloud also offers you an automatic backup. As soon as your iPhone is connected to the mains and has access to a working Wi-Fi network, it will make a backup of your data - but only of the apps for which iCloud has been activated.
