Davinci Resolve: Create Slow Motion Video

Davinci Resolve is a free editing software that you can use to edit your videos. You can use the program to make color corrections and cut the video as well as audio track without any problems. It is also possible to create a slow-motion scene. To do this, simply change the clip speed.

How to create a slow-motion scene in Davinci Resolve?

To create a slow-motion video with Davinci Resolve, you first need to open the program.
  1. Start a new project by clicking "File" at the top of the bar and then "New Project."
  2. Simply drag and drop the video you want into the timeline. This is the block divided into several small sections at the bottom right of the window.
  3. Now right-click on the video and select "Change Clip Speed".
  4. Now, if you decrease the value under Speed, you will slow down the playback speed of the video. This also increases the duration, i.e. the playback time of the video.
  5. Clicking "Change" applies the changes and your video is now set to slow motion.
With Davinci Resolve, you can also perform color grading. This involves adding color to parts of the video so that they trigger a certain mood or emotion in the viewer. You can use the stylistic device to highlight or tone down a particular event to direct the viewer's concentration to something else.
