ARD Reception - how to receive the channel

If you want to receive ARD's programming at home or on the go, you can do so via satellite, cable, DVB-T2 or live stream. To ensure that you see the channels in optimal quality, there are a few things to keep in mind for the different types of reception.

How to receive the ARD program

You can receive the ARD program via various ways. We show you all the possibilities in the overview:

1. By satellite you receive the program of ARD via Astra 19.2 ° East and a frequency of 11.494 GHz and horizontal polarization.
2. You can also receive the offer of ARD via indoor or roof antenna. On the ARD website, you have the option to check in advance whether and to what extent you can receive DVB-T2 in your area. You will also receive information about what hardware you need for good reception.
3. If you have a cable connection, you can also receive the program offer of ARD there. To find out on which channels you can see the ARD program, you must contact your cable network operator.

Television via the network

Not only at home you can receive the program of ARD. The channel now also offers streaming, so you are able to watch TV on the go from your cell phone or laptop. You can find the stream on the ARD website under "Live". However, for legal reasons, the streaming offer of ARD is only accessible in Germany.
