Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus no longer starts - what to do?
Even the new Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is not protected against errors. So it can happen that the phone no longer starts. Possibly, only a flat battery is responsible for this, but there may also be larger errors. You can usually find out what the problem is quite quickly and easily.
Why doesn't the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus turn on anymore?
There can be different reasons why the smartphone doesn't turn on anymore.- The first thing you should do is check if the phone's battery is empty. To do this, connect the phone to the charging station for several hours. If it still does not start after that, it is also possible that the charging cable is defective. Test another cable to rule out this possibility.
- Possibly a third-party app is responsible for the crashes. In this case, a soft reset can help. To do so, press and hold the power button and the volume down button until the Samsung logo appears. This clears all data from the cache.
- It is also possible that a larger error is present and a hard reset, i.e. a reset to the factory settings, is necessary. To do this, press the Bixby and Volume Up buttons and hold them down. Now tap the power button very briefly. Once the Samsung logo appears, you can release all buttons.
- Now you are in the Android Recovery menu. Select "Wipe data / factory reset" here with the volume up and down button. You can confirm the option with the power button.
