If you want to make a call with your Xiaomi Mi 9, this is only possible if you insert a suitable SIM card into the device. Once you have a card and the corresponding phone number, it is possible for other people to call you. After that, all you have to do is answer the call.

How to answer a call with the Xiaomi Mi 9

If you want to make a phone call with your Xiaomi Mi 9, you first need a suitable SIM card. You can get this from a mobile provider of your choice as a prepaid card or together with a contract. As soon as someone calls you, you can accept the call via the displayed green handset. If this is not displayed, it may be because your smartphone is in idle mode. In this case, activate the notifications in the settings. This allows you to accept the call via the corresponding message.

1. To more quickly recognize that you are being called, you can activate a flash for incoming messages. To do this, go to "Settings" > "System apps" > "Call settings" > "Incoming call settings" > "Flash on call".
2. If you want your smartphone to be muted as soon as you turn it over, then you need to select the item "Incoming call settings" in the "Call settings" and then activate the corresponding options.
3. To record calls, select the item "Call recording" > "Record calls automatically" in the "Call settings". Note, however, that this is not necessarily allowed and you need the consent of your call partner.
