A driver is software that is required by your computer to exchange data with connected devices. To avoid problems in this process, it is important to perform regular driver updates.

Driver update: how to do it in Windows

Many devices such as printer, graphics card or monitor connected to your computer have drivers that are needed for the devices to work properly. Therefore, if you encounter problems with any of these devices, it is a good idea to check the drivers and perform an update if necessary. How you need to proceed to update the drivers again depends on which operating system is installed on your PC or laptop.

1. If you are using Windows, please open the Device Manager and search for the hardware for which you want to perform a driver update.
2. Please highlight the corresponding entry and right-click to open the "Properties".
3. In the properties window, then switch to the "Drivers" tab and click "Update Driver" to search for and install new drivers.

To avoid updating drivers individually for each device connected to the computer, there are special tools that perform driver updates automatically.
