Key combination: maximize window - how to do it
Many functions on your PC can be called up quickly and easily using a key combination. On both Windows and Apple computers, you have the ability to control the size of an application window at will using a key combination. Here's how to do the process.
How to maximize a window using the keyboard shortcut on Windows
Using a keyboard shortcut to maximize a window works much like minimizing a window.- To maximize an open window within an application, press the [Windows key] in combination with the up-arrow key [↑].
- Instead of a keyboard shortcut, you can maximize the window within an open application, for example in Word or the browser, using the top menu bar.
- To do this, simply click on the square at the top right of the screen. If the window is already maximized, clicking in the same place will minimize the window.
