Clone SD card - how to make a copy

By cloning your SD card, you get an exact copy of all the files and folders you have stored on the disk. For this to work, you will need some equipment and a free program.

This is how to create a twin of your SD card

Start your computer first and check if you have an SD card with enough storage capacity for all files.

1. If your computer has an SD card reader, you don't need an external device. Otherwise, you need to connect one.
2. Now download the freeware "Win32 Disk Imager" and install the program. Then start it.
3. Insert the SD card into the reader and wait until Windows has recognized the storage medium.
4. Select "Device" in the list and click on the drive letter of the card reader.
5. Select the folder icon and enter the location and file name of the image of the SD cards. Then press "Read".
6. After that, remove the SD card and insert the blank copy.
7. Select the previously created image file and press "Device" again. Then click on the drive letter of your card reader.
8. Now press "Write" and wait until the process is complete.
