Outlook: Folder disappeared - what to do?
Can a folder just disappear from Outlook? If you suddenly can't find a folder, it's usually because you accidentally use filters or hide some folders in Outlook.
Show everything: Find Disappeared Folders in Outlook
If a folder in Outlook has suddenly disappeared, it may be because you are hiding some folders. By choosing to show you everything, you can quickly find the folder again in this case.- Start Outlook and click on the "View" tab at the top of the ribbon.
- Now click on the "Folder Pane" button in the "Layout" area.
- Decide here for "Default", so that you can find the disappeared folder in Outlook again.
Alternative: Disable filter
If the above solution did not work, you may accidentally use a filter by which the searched folder is not displayed. You can also disable this:- Open the "View" tab in Outlook again.
- Now look in the "Current View" area and click "View Settings" here.
- Here you will find, among other things, the "Filter..." button and a status next to it. Stellen Sie sicher, dass hier „Aus“ eingetragen ist.
- Ist dort hingegen ein Filter zu finden, klicken Sie die Schaltfläche an und deaktivieren Sie den eingestellten Filter.
