What is E-Sports? The term simply explained

E-sports is a new type of sport. Here, the physical activity is rather in the background and is thus replaced by coordinated team play and winning a certain target in a video game. E-sport is so far still comparatively small in Germany, but has already been taking place internationally for many years.

What is e-sports? That's what's behind it!

The "E" in E-Sport stands for "Electronic" and thus describes the circumstance that E-Sport entails. Any discipline is a video game that must necessarily be played on a platform.

1. The main point of e-sports is to achieve victory alone or with his team in a particular video game.
2. Not every game is suitable for e-sports. Diverse genres fall out of this area from the outset and can not be used competitively.
3. Known games that have already been successfully contested worldwide for many years are, for example, League of Legends, Dota, Counter-Strike and Starcraft II.
4. In countries such as Korea and Japan, e-sports is already operated at a professional level, so that video games are eligible as an actual professional career.

E-Sport in Deutschland

1. Auch die Deutschen betreiben maßgeblich E-Sport.
2. Meistens treten deutsche Spieler in gemischten Teams mit anderen europäischen Ländern an und stellen international daher Team Europa dar.
3. Auch in Deutschland finden bereits seit einigen Jahren regelmäßig Turniere statt, bei denen teilweise mehrere tausende Euro Preisgeld gewonnen werden.
