The options for backing up data

In addition to the option of backing up your data via the iCloud, you can also resort to alternatives. Among them is iTunes, for example. Every time you pair your iPhone or iPad to iTunes, you will be asked if you want to backup. This happens because of the sync option.It is important to run a regular backup. Otherwise, if something happens to your smartphone, your data may be lost.

How to back up your iPhone?

To back up your iPhone to your computer, connect your iPhone to a PC or Mac running the latest version of iTunes. Use the USB interface and a suitable USB cable for this.

1. If you have a Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15, then open the Finder. If you use an older macOS version or a Windows PC, please open iTunes instead.
2. iTunes now recognizes the iPhone and asks you for a backup. Confirm this question with "Yes".

4. Alternatively, a backup is made regularly via iCloud. This is usually done at night when your phone is connected to the Internet, connected to a power supply and the screen is locked.
5. To automatically save the data on your iPhone to an iCloud backup, enable this option in "Settings" > "[Your Name]" > "iCloud" > "iCloud Backup".
