Uninstall Discord - how it works

If you no longer use the Discord app to chat and call your friends, you can easily uninstall the program from your computer. How to do this depends on whether you are using a Mac or a Windows PC.

How to uninstall Discord on Windows PC

Discord is a chat platform that you can use for free to communicate with your friends via chat or video calling. If you still do not want to use Discord anymore, you can uninstall the program on the Windows PC via the Control Panel.

1. To do this, first open the Control Panel by clicking on the Windows icon, search for the term "Control Panel" in the Start menu and click on the corresponding search result.
2. In the Control Panel, then navigate to "Programs" > "Uninstall Programs" and search for "Discord".
3. Select Discord from the list of programs, click the "Uninstall" button at the top and confirm that you really want to remove the program from your PC in the dialog box that appears.

This procedure is necessary to uninstall on Mac

If you use Discord on Mac, you can remove the program from it by deleting it from the Program folder. To do so, please open the Applications folder in the Dock of your Mac or open it using the Finder by pressing the key combination of "Shift" + "CMD" + "A". After that, look for the Discord app icon in the Applications folder and move it to the Trash first. After that, go to your Mac's Trash, right-click the Discord icon and select "Empty Trash" from the menu to completely delete Discord from your Mac.
